Greeting Blog-friends!
I have been on a "posting" hiatus. The last few weeks have been full of twists and turns that have required my full attention to navigate.
As many of you know, my father has returned to M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas for cancer treatment. Our fight began in 2006 with a diagnosis of colon cancer. This battle has tested the mettle of the strongest man and woman I know, my mother and father. I can't express how thankful we are for the hundreds and thousands of people who have been praying and believing for a miracle.
The church family that my Dad has pastored for all but 10 years of my life has been an incredible support to my parents. We love you TPC DeQuincy! The church that I pastor, Abundant Life Church, has been so understanding of this season and has stood by our family with prayer and fasting.
My father is in need of a miracle from God. I have be challenged in my spirit to coordinate another focused season of prayer and fasting for his healing. Beginning August 20, I will personally be fasting and praying strategically for my father. If you would be willing to join me for any part of this, I'd love to hear from you. Post a comment! I'll be sharing your thoughts with my father. Please forward this email to everyone you know that will pray in faith with us.
If you have any "David Hennigan" thoughts that would be an encouragement to him, please post so that I can share with Dad. We are going to join together believing God for a supernatural work in his body.
I appreciate you. Thanks for your love, support, friendship, prayer, and faith.
Jeff
Hello Jeff and family,
I have had such a strong desire to see a miracle take place with your Dad. I still believe in them. As you probably know my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease a little more than 8 years ago. She is now in the last stages of the disease. I was spirtually drain when I prayed some 8 years ago for my mom to be healed. It wasn't in God's plan so I kind of took it to heart. Very angry at one point. But I heard a sermon some time after that about God not necessarily changing the circumstances but changing people to deal with the circumstances. I believe that is what happened in my family's life. It would still be amazing to see my mom healed but I know that God's plan for her is different than what my heart desires. I just want you to know I am praying and fasting for your Dad. He is an amazing man of God. I am praying for your mom to have the strength with him. Watching my Dad the last few years, has showed me that definitely the person going through it with them needs the strength of God. My pray is for your Dad to be healed. God is amazing. God is wonderful. God is a miracle working God. I do believe that God has a miracle for your Dad.

Jeff,
It's been a long time. Honestly, tonight after watching the LSU vs Auburn game, I felt like I needed to get online. Suddenly, I thought about you and wondered where you were and what you were doing. I typed in your name and wound up at this site. I read about your Mom and Dad. I am so sorry that they are not doing well. I will be in prayer for them. You also asked for any encouraging words or memories reguarding your Dad, we'll here it goes---After attending every summer UPC Youth Camp from ages 9-17, I can't tell you many songs I heard, sermons that were taught, or "badges I traded", but I DO remember the love and compassion that your Dad taught Youth Camp with (I was probably 11). I remember he did puppet shows. I remember he was warm and caring. I remember feeling accepted by him and God through his messages (I didn't always have the "warm and fuzzies" at Youth Camp, probably due to the lack of hair--length), but I did feel God's strongest gifting oozing out of your Dad--Love. I am very grateful to the Lord for that time. It was very impacting on me. I am now 36 years old and I still remember. Your Dad has touched many lives and deposited Jesus into them, including me. You can tell him that I have faithfully been serving Jesus since I was 23. I am now married to a wonderful man, whom God has talented abundantly. We have been serving Jesus together since we met. Please let your Dad know.
God bless you and keep you close to Him,
