Life is funny. We were all dressed up with no place to go. We never even broke a sweat! On Saturday, me and my longtime friend, Chadd Guitreau, were excited about the opportunity to get outside on a beautiful day and ride our bikes.
We got dressed, loaded the bikes, packed the gear, and drove out into the hills around McKinney, Texas. Four hours later, Miquell snapped this pic. A flat tire (No, the little repair kit we purchased last summer didn't work!), and a trip to the bike shop "flattened" our good intentions.
Life is funny. It seems to me that we should have had our bikes "tuned up" in advance. Our preparation was not good. That is hard to admit. I couldn't help but make the connection to a life lesson. We often procrastinate priorities until its too late. Our good intentions were not enough! We often find ourselves on the side of the road with flattened dreams, purposes, and plans. As a Pastor, I often hear people say- "I never intended....".
I really want to live a life beyond the "look". I want to "be" what God had intended. I really want to KNOW Him. Please watch the roads. I have a bike now. Ha. Ha.

Hey Bro, if you'd like a "real" biking experience...I'll take you and we can go for the dirt!!

You forgot to mention the $150 we spent in the shop when we were only there for the $10 flat fix

I did not realize there are hills in McKinney. I am dying to know where since I thought the DFW metroplex was flat as Ohio.
