I am a huge Dallas Mavericks fan! I recently was invited to the game by a close friend of mine. He likes to be called Mr. Anonymous, but he also answers to "Brad Fuller." He invited me to come along for an important game for the Mavs against the Utah Jazz. When we arrived, his "people" had FRONT ROW seats right behind the Mavericks bench. The pic says it all!
The front row changes everything about the experience! The "buy in" factor from this perspective of the game was a major upgrade. For a guy with ADD, close is good! The action on the floor was up close and personal. I am now officially spoiled by the "front row"! Good times, good friends, good food, and a great game made it a memorable night that I will not soon forget. Brad...You blessed me! I am now a "front row" follower of the Dallas Mavericks!
I am a huge ALC fan! Today I had an opportunity to have lunch with one of my favorite people. He has been a player in the ALC story for many years. His contribution to the Kingdom of God and its expression in our local church is huge. We had one of those conversations that left me encouraged, challenged, and inspired. His name is Ron Hanners. He is not a Dallas Maverick. He is an ALC "Lifer"! For me, having a few moments of "front row" time with Ron and other "Lifer's" to share perspective on the game of life is always refreshing. I love the people God has put in my life. Ron Hanners is one of the men in my life that I depend on to get a "pulse" for the heart of the church. He and so many other great men and women have been "front row" followers of Christ for so many years. Pastor Dan Rigdon, my illustrious predecessor, built a foundation of character at ALC. He led so many to the "front row!" It is my prayer and passion to see thousands of people get to the "court of the Cross" and see Jesus "up close and personal!" To all of the faithful leaders and "Lifer's" at ALC, I am your biggest fan!
Thanks Brad and Ron for allowing me to sit beside you on this journey.
